  • Provide process leadership to the Commissions team in the delivery of world-class Commissions services, oftentimes contributing as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Negotiate and Approve Commission language in Agent Contracts, provide direction for system updates to implement compensation changes and enhancements.
  • Point leader for SOX compliance for Agent Contracts and Payments.
  • Act as a Project Manager, leading teams of peers in a matrix organization to a successful completion of national projects impacting the Agent Commission Team, including system conversions and strategic contract changes.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of systems and interdependencies of processes to drive the business toward the development of systems that enable process improvement.
  • Engage and influence key executive-level stakeholders to improve complex Commissions processes, perform effective escalation management, and develop and implement “quick fix” solutions.
  • Develop and execute Training and Communication strategy for internal Commission’s team.
  • Identify any improvement opportunities in this area, and pioneer the design and implementation of new processes and procedures.
  • Exhibit thorough understanding of process analysis, problem solving, decision making, and execution. 
  • Develop and grow partnerships with stakeholders and other functional teams relating to objectives, deliverables, resource allocation and related matters.
  • Serve as the critical point of contact for compensation changes for other departments (e.g., indirect sales, finance, sales operations, compliance, etc.) Collaborate with business partners who design compensation strategy to meet business objectives.  Present compensation strategy to senior management. Provide expert knowledge of incentive management, financial, accounting, and additional support systems.
  • Ensure that incoming and outgoing transaction processes are controlled, effective and efficient in order to ensure there are no integrity issues.  Orchestrate innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions through the commission system.  Make system/ processes more efficient and scalable, and work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations and minimize operational risk.

Qualifications

Required

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • A broad range of skills within finance discipline to effectively perform routine to complex assignments. 
  • Demonstrated success in motivating a team to improve quality, increase productivity and exceed customer expectations. Proven ability to provide leadership in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and to drive complex operational initiatives.
  • Project management experience
  • High standard of personal performance, independent thinker, strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated skills for business success, including problem solving, analytical skills and the ability to diagnose and meet business needs
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of Products (especially Excel, Access & Powerpoint) and Query Tools (e.g. SQL/Cognos)

Desired

  • Masters degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA)
  • Previous experience in compensation related field
  • Familiarity with Compensation, Billing, and Order Entry systems
  • Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry
  • Advanced capability with MS Office Suite of Products (especially in Excel, Access & PowerPoint)  and Query tools (e.g., SQL/Cognos)
