What you’ll be doing...


Reporting to the Managing Enterprise Architect, the Enterprise Architect (EA) leads a virtual team of Solutions Architects, Service Delivery Architects and other relevant SME resource to develop best in class solutions for an assigned Global Client base. The Enterprise Architect provides guidance, insight and ownership for pre-sales activities including the end to end technical and service management solutions, transition and transformation strategies and partner identification and selection. They are focused on integrated solutions and large scale outsourcing and business transformation initiatives for Enterprise Clients within their specific geographical region and across established industry verticals.

The Enterprise Architect is a key member of the regional Solutions Team and provides a single point of accountability to all internal and external stakeholders associated to the assigned client case; representing the Verizon EMEA Enterprise solutioning practice throughout the Verizon Integrated Deal governance process within region, taking ownership and responsibility for all integrated solutions activity for deals upward of $25m.

The Enterprise Architect is accountable for the end to end solution integrity and for managing the solution through the bid, internal governance and contracting processes to ensure successful delivery and profitability.

Opportunity success, transition effectiveness and post transition Client satisfaction are key metrics for quantifying the role’s success which will lead to EBITDA growth. More specifically the role is measured against defined KPIs aligned to the Global Integration Practice and covered by the following categories:

  • Revenue Targets
  • Best Practice development and adoption
  • Client Satisfaction – CLI/NPS
  • Direct Margin Targets
  • Architectural Artefact development and definition
  • Solution Building Block development and definition
  • Architectural Repository contribution
  • Adoption of repeatable solutions

The Enterprise Architect will provide specialist architectural ownership and solution management across all verticals and solution towers. The role will provide Enterprise Architecture support to opportunities for large global enterprise Clients high complexity with deal TCVs above $25M.

Together with the assigned Client Partner, the Enterprise Architect provides leadership of the opportunity team and works with key business stakeholders and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of the client strategy, processes and information technology assets. The role of the Enterprise Architect is to take this knowledge and ensure that the client business requirements and the End to End Solution are in alignment. The Enterprise Architect links the business mission, strategy, and processes of an organization to its IT strategy, and documents this using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of an organization will be delivered by the Verizon solution.

The Enterprise Architect position is responsible for working with senior Client IT executives as a trusted technical advisor/ partner to:

  • Review and analyze current technology infrastructure and it’s ability to support strategic corporate objectives
  • Identify and propose specific strategies, initiatives and remedies necessary to align technology infrastructure with corporate objectives
  • Support development of business drivers, business case and high level program implementation plan
  • Translate Client business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements
  • Develop a conceptual solution architecture using a combination of Verizon standard products and selected third party suppliers to produce an end to end Client solution
  • Build and communicate the value proposition of the end to end solution to client executives
  • Manage the interaction with specific product specialists to identify and collect detailed technical requirements
  • Partner with the bid management organization to build out detailed RFP responses and contract development
  • Coordinate efforts across Verizon support/product specialist organizations to ensure overall integrity and consistency of the final proposed solution
  • Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team in the Client facing Governance Program
  • Lead strategic architectural planning to achieve goals by prioritizing initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future state architectures
  • Collaborate with the appropriate Verizon and client departments to develop an Architectural Vision and Innovation plan that supports the Client IT strategic goals
  • Develop and communicate Technology/Service and Business process alignment plans to client and Verizon executive teams, staff, partners, and stakeholders
  • Assess and communicate risks and identify Client dependencies
  • Assist in the development of the Client business case and ensure this is aligned to the Transition strategy to both maximize Client benefit realization and Verizon revenue
  • Act as a Thought Leader for the client’s business goals and vision via regular in-person and written communications with the client executives, department heads and end users.

  • Commercial relationships with internal, external and community partners


  • 5-10 years directly relevant experience, working at all levels in the Enterprise Market up to board level
  • Global / international experience in selling solutions / services to major multinationals
  • Ideally science/engineering/commercial degree qualified
  • Demonstrable experience in achieving results in a complex, internationally distributed organization
  • Certified in TOGAF and / or ITIL
  • Technology – Leader in cloud computing, network, IT infrastructure and advanced strategic services
