What you’ll be doing…

We have an immediate need for a SQL Server Developer for our newest work force management application – Fleetmatics Work. As an integral part of our product suite Fleetmatics Work will integrate with our fleet management solutions providing real time management capabilities for mobile workforces.

Working as part of the development team, the role requires a person that is skilled in schema, stored procedure and functional development with a particular emphasis on performance tuning in large data asset environments. The candidate will work closely with a team of JavaScript and C# API developers.


    • Technical design and coding of new features and components
    • Enhancing existing features
    • Performance tuning and optimisation
    • As part of Kanban teams working with build engineers on release scripts and deployments
    • Change requests and bug fixes for existing production environment

What we’re looking for...

    • 3 + years of designing and developing databases using Microsoft SQL Server
    • Experience of agile / lean development processes
    • Excellent Knowledge of indexes, index management and statistics.
    • Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
    • Ability to influence technical discussions and provide technical leadership.
    • Ability to comprehend complex business and technical scenarios
    • Excellent SQL and T-SQL coding ability

Even better if you have:

  • Good understanding of OLTP
  • BSc in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Experience developing C# data accessors
