What you’ll be doing...

We are looking for a skilled and energetic business development/partner manager to join the Verizon Smart Communities and drive all Public Safety Partner related activities. In collaboration with Sales, Product Management, and Product Marketing, the partner manager will act as the primary contact for all partner related activities, including but not limited to, identifying and selecting partners, establishing contractual relationship, joint marketing, product integration, sales enablement and growing the business relationship with the partner to drive revenue for the Verizon. The individual will be responsible for the ultimate success of the partnership and be measured on the business driven with the partner, successful product/service integration and release, as well as overall partner engagement.

The PM will be a business-savvy technical leader who has successfully proven to manage strategic technology and GTM partnerships with both large and small companies. Your knowledge and experience in Public Safety brings along extensive relationships and contacts to build upon. You are extremely comfortable to engage in both business and product/technical discussions and also have strong project management skills to successfully execute your programs. In addition to managing your partners, you will be collaborating with the Product Management to integrate the product/service into the VSC Solutions, and with the Business Development/sales team to drive the Solutions to Market. As an individual contributor, you possess the skills and determination to advance your partnerships to successful deployments and revenue generation.

  • Engage, develop and nurture relationships with key decision makers, influencers and stakeholders within the different organizations and levels inside the partner organizational structure
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the strategic partnership both externally and internally, while driving and managing day to day partnership activities.
  • In close coordination with the VSC Product Management teams, support the strategic partner product/service solution integration plans.
  • Support the development and implementation of new business opportunities through collaboration with the BD and Sales teams.
  • Enable the Partner and Sales ecosystem through knowledge transfer and training.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have…

  • BS degree, or 4 or more years work experience
  • 6 or more years relevant work experience

Even better if you have…

• 15+ years in business development, managing strategic partnerships and bringing to market complex solutions.

• 10+ years of experience in Public Safety, ideally having worked with State and Local Police Dept. and Security Agencies, and the extended Public Security Consulting and Deployment Ecosystem.

• Experience in complex solutions involving cloud, IOT devices/sensors, security, systems integration, managed services, and SaaS offerings.

• Must possess financial management skills to build business models and assess partnership investment/return analysis.

• Professional presentation and communications skills to build working relationships and address diverse teams at all levels and job functions for both internal and external organizations.

• MBA, with strong technology and analytical skills.
