What you’ll be doing...

This position will report to the Manager of NFSC and will be responsible by providing back office support for Verizon field and fleet operations. The selected candidate will supervise employees who manage the day to day invoicing functions for fleet, which include, vendor administration, price match errors, procurement, refund handling, toll violations, and process warranty claims. This position will supervise a direct staff of at least 10-12 employees including contractors.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervisor a team who process fleet invoicing events for payment, which include, PO 3 way match, invoice discrepancies, create non –PO events, process refund checks; ensures all invoices are processed and verified, and credits received on disputed transactions.

  • Manage vendor administration, statement reconciliation and working knowledge of system interfaces including the Fleet Management system, third-party systems and PS9.1; any Verizon policies and procedure associated with accounts payable.

  • Manages the monthly distribution of vehicle toll tag payments for all transactions per agency.

  • Manages vehicle violation processing ensuing timely and properly distributed payment to avoid vehicle license suspension and additional fines.

  • Prepares support center performance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Tracks performance goals of each assigned area of operations utilizing existing tools and reporting and continuously looking for increased performance efficiencies.

  • Strong automotive / truck mechanical knowledge, basic understanding of Verizon vehicle types and their operational requirements. Ability to analyze or interpret situations and provide direction as to course of action for each individual situation.

  • Evaluates new technologies and processes for continuous process improvement.

Reporting, Metrics and Work Instructions

  • Monitor status of invoice PME work flow
  • Perform final investigation of all unresolved disputed invoices.
  • Monitor status of all monthly vehicle renewals and regulatory payments.
  • Collect and verify monthly Toll Tag statements and transactions for payment
  • Monitor violation payments and various locality agreements.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as required to evaluate effectiveness of all areas of responsibility.
  • Monitor open PO report for parts purchases to ensure PO’s are NOT open for greater than 90 days
  • Cancel NFSC PO’s and WO’s in Fleet asset maintenance management system as required

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Fleet Operations, Strategic Sourcing processes, policies and procedures.
  • Experience with data analysis, supplier assessment and Accounting policies and procedures.
  • Fleet experience including knowledge of equipment types andmulti-stage vehicle construction processes.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

  • Telecom industry experience
  • Ability to effectively manage a multiple area’s of operations.
  • Conflict Resolution and Client Service Skills.
  • Proven effective leadership and analytical skills.
  • Experience developing resolutions to complex problems.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with experience in influencing others.
  • NAFA or equivalent certifications.
