At VZConnect, our UX team is made up of passionate professionals with focus in UX design, visual design & user research. We are looking for service designer to join our growing team. This role entails uncovering full service experiences, identifying opportunities and designing 10 star customer experiences.. You will help to create surprising & relevant scenarios/ concepts/visions that explore potential or articulate a holistic service experiences, based on contextual understanding & user needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft and uncover customer / user journeys for our product and services. Develop deep insights and opportunities to improve.
  • Develop & share service blueprints through service maturity
  • Run frequent cross functional - workshops /ideation & solutioning sessions for customer problems.
  • Conduct user, landscape and business research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Analyze information to form a relevant understanding of context & articulate insights. Identify pain points & opportunities.
  • Lead development of prototypes of varying qualities that communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at an individual and group level

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Formal education in design disciplines preferably in service Design or one of related disciplines - UX design, Design Research, Information architecture, Systems /Business Design.
  • 5+ years as Industry experience as a designer or a researcher
  • Proven designs and experience of launched services in the real world. Must have a design or research portfolio w/ mobile, web or service projects - demonstrates a strong design aesthetic, attention to detail, design thinking approaches
  • Expert in planning, execute & analyzing multi-stakeholder workshops + customer co-creation sessions to uncover “what is” & “what could be” journeys or scenarios
  • Understanding of formal design processes for new product or Service development. Strong experience in rapid design prototyping to test ideas, hypothesis, alpha/beta/A/B testing.
  • User research experience. Direct experience w/ iterative design testing using tools e.g. user testing, user insights, usabilla, optimizely etc.
  • Experience w/ iterative sprints in agile/lean development in fast moving SaaS /PaaS environments

Even better if you have:

  • Self starter, independent thinker, work in highly matrixed organization fluid market & business conditions. Manage multiple projects to keep moving forward.
  • Excellent collaboration (joint projects & workshops), interpersonal (warm and inviting) & communication (clear, concise and erudite) skills.
  • Strong influencing or negotiation skills and articulating your design/ business choices to a larger group. Staying highly organized, persistent & flexible to focus on long term business goals.
  • Excellent problem solving (using first principle approach) and multi-tasking (several projects, initiatives concurrently) skills

Tools:

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite/ PowerPoint/Keynote
  • Experience in Axure/Sketch/ Invision/Marvel/Flinto or others
