What you’ll be doing...

You will be the face of Verizon on college campuses introducing students to who we are and our career opportunities. You’ll be helping us find great talent with the potential to make a difference for our customers and drive our business forward. The students you bring in will become part of the community of talented, driven individuals that make Verizon a great place to work.

  • Building relationships with students and colleges to attract and identify talent.
  • Sourcing the best students through a variety of channels like career fairs, social media, and referrals.
  • Coordinating high-volume interview days for students.
  • Facilitating the process from beginning to a successful offer.
  • Tracking and reporting all candidate sourcing activity, monitoring any gaps in forecast.
  • Ensuring that all components of the initiative (e.g. job posting, interview, and selection process) adhere to legal, regulatory, and Verizon’s compliance requirements.
  • Being responsible for end to end deliverables of programs against key milestones and KPI’s (e.g. Onboarding Process, Application process, Posting Methodology, Communication Planning).
  • Working with cross-functional enterprise-wide teams to manage event execution, and interview and selection process.
  • Creating and producing necessary Project reports on a regular basis to update stakeholders.

You enjoy working with students and helping them see the possibilities in their future. You understand the factors that students consider for their first job and would enjoy helping them imagine themselves at Verizon.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% during peak times; including overnight travel during recruitment season.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Strong event planning skills.
  • Experience acting as an ambassador for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Recruiting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly establish rapport with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and a drive to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Experience juggling multiple priorities in a high impact environment.
  • Ability to travel and willingness to attend or facilitate meetings and events during evening and weekend hours as needed.
