You will be responsible for the day to day delivery of Finance and/or Accounting services. This may involve managing a team of consultants within a particular work stream or function, responsible for validating the quality of services delivered by any service providers, and establishing required linkages to global Finance and Accounting organizations.

  • Compile, analyze and interpret data, and if appropriate, make recommendations for future courses of action. Demonstrate an understanding of systems that enable processes and identify and engage key business process owners to increase awareness of system enablers. Identify and understand operation challenges and influences business priorities.

  • Identify and drive improvement opportunities in this area.

  • Oversee team supporting, implementing test plans, troubleshooting, and managing IR's for payment processing (VEPS, eMittance, RDF, Payment Hub) for the B2C organization.

  • Contribute to the formulation of overall management strategy of Finance Operations.

  • Assist in assessing the services delivered by the service providers (if any) and validating that performance metrics established by service level agreements (SLA's) are met as applicable and that SLA's are aligned with organization goals and objectives. As the primary point of contact, provide direction and policy interpretation to third party service providers as needed.

  • Respond to customer feedback, survey results and make any improvements/corrections as necessary.

  • Identify and drive improvement opportunities for your work stream and collaborate with any external service providers to ensure improvement opportunities are implemented.

  • Lead team through project enhancements including requirement, High Level Design Reviews (HLD), benefits, walk through, implementation testing and validation, training and issues resolution.

  • Interact cross functionally as necessary keeping projects and issue resulting on target.

  • Partner cross functionally to drive improved metrics such as reduced inbound calls, claims processing time, AHT, transfers and drives self-serve.

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies to ensure effective controls exist to safeguard company assets.

  • Continuously evaluate the literal control environment, maintain appropriate documentation and practices in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, company policies and standardized procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and controls and with external regulations.

  • Manage and lead a team of consultants assigned to a specific work stream or function to deliver finance and/or transaction processing services.

  • Plan and structure work activities and set deadlines for your team, subsequently monitor the team’s progress and are responsible for the results of team activities.

  • Provide guidance to consultants on your team for recruiting, staffing, and professional development as needed.

  • Responsible for results reporting to senior level executives.

  • Responsible for developing the departmental budget and determine acceptable staffing levels, establishing departmental budgets, as required by the departmental budget.

  • Responsible for providing feedback, coaching and development and appraisals to team members as needed.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Technology or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master's in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Technology MBA or equivalent.

  • Professional certification (PMP, Six Sigma, Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) or Certified Software Quality Assurance (CSQA) preferred)

  • 5+ years of directly related experience with a strong management background.

  • Proven management skills.

  • Experience in the design and implementation of accounting systems and applications.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially in Excel, and PowerPoint, strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.

  • Experienced in payment processing with regulatory rules surrounding payment processing and auto-pay.

  • Experience in building, implementing, and following through on test cases/plans.

  • Knowledge of banking industry payment processing regulations and policies.

  • Basic knowledge of FASB requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, tax reporting and accounting practices.

  • Advanced understanding of report query and design.
