What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for the planning and operation of Verizon’s B2B Core Price Plans and Promotions. You will be primarily tasked with the strategic reasoning, creation and management of the strategy to launch new pricing models and evolve existing models in place. This includes formulating all of the resources needed throughout Verizon to enable the pricing and promotional models to be created, implemented and available for procurement. You will need to proactively formulate relationships with internal leaders over Finance, Marketing, IT, Sales Operations, Sales Channels, and Compliance to proactively address the needs of the strategy, outline the model, model the financial impacts to the business, create the right procurement process for the customer and address the needs of those who serve our customers.

Pricing Setup – responsible for defining and creating the strategy to launch pricing for services, solutions and promotions related to our core business pricing models for the business segment. You will manage and coordinate resources across channels and inner working teams to ensure these models align with the needs of the customer and provide a value proposition that goes beyond price. You will also work with Product and Product Marketing to formulate the ability to bundle these services in with other core products and services offered.

Management - throughout all launches you will with other business channel leaders and PMO’s to ensure the pricing models are created the forecasted impact in results and customer experience. Will work with various leaders and marketing team members to align with business channels on needs and variances, and build pricing and promotions accordingly.

Communication – explain strategy for solution and operational details to Go-to-Market, Integrated Marketing, and L&D so they can fully understand the customer experience for all pricing and offers. Represent Device Marketing on GTM and IM calls to answer questions from the business and address concerns as needed.

IT Development – represent B2B pricing and promo teams strategy in all IT meetings and processes to improve system capabilities. Be the frontline for system issues with launched offers, and triage with the related teams as necessary. Develop new opportunities for future pricing and promotional concepts by scoping out requirements and aligning with the business on the cost to build and priority in the development funnel

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with marketing research, research strategy, or consumer research methodologies.
  • Product and/or Service pricing experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree and/or MBA.
  • Experience gathering competitive insights.
  • Digital experience and an understanding of trends and key business drivers.
  • Presented findings and insights targeted to what that audience cares about (up to the executive level).
  • Analyzed what’s important from a variety of sources to provide a holistic view of the marketplace, competitive factors, risks, and opportunities.
  • Juggled multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Designed custom research approaches to gain broader or deeper consumer and market insights.
  • Translated market knowledge and strategy into compelling stories and tools for the sales team.
  • Familiarity with Verizon and competitors’ product portfolios.
