The Sales Representative - SMB is responsible for generating sales to companies that have fewer than399 total fleet vehicles within their territory as well as identifying new prospects in the market through cold calling and networking. This position requires a high degree of business acumen and communication skills to close sales deals.

Level of Work:

The Sales Representative - SMB has developed a broad understanding and application of principles, theories, and concepts in the sales job family. This position works on assignments varying in complexity requiring conceptualization, reasoning and interpretation. Working independently in their role of closing sales, under general guidance and within established procedures, this position is expected to quickly increase their contributions to work on projects that require design, analysis and research, with limited management intervention. Decisions made by this position have short-term impact and are moderate in complexity.

What we’re looking for...

Generate and prospect own accounts which will be supported by inbound activity and Business Development activity.
Present product capabilities through web based demonstrations either set up by Business or own appointments.
Prioritize activity and sales pipeline to achieve goals with an emphasis on managing personal time, productivity and accurate forecasting.
Follow-up on proposals and negotiate contracts with prospective customers in collaboration with Sales Managers.
Establish and maintain good relationships with clients from initial contact through initial sale.
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all services offered by Fleetmatics and awareness of the competition, i.e. market share, pricing, services offered, etc.
Complete all required documentation and reporting including call and meeting activity, forecasting and bids and proposals within assigned territory using Salesforce.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
