What you’ll be doing...


At 140 West, you will be part of the energy that’s evolving the Verizon brand to become a leading technology player. The new Tribeca space will bring together some of the industry’s sharpest minds across a multitude of disciplines, creating an integrated team that can be responsive and innovative across every Verizon touchpoint.


  • Lead channel copy teams and business partners to define, strategize, plan, create, review and approve copy for all 140/IHA creative channel marketing materials (retail,.com, acquisition OLA, app)

  • Responsible for leading the creation of “persuasive” copy, with a bias towards storytelling through tangible and intangible customer benefits

  • Lead the development of editorial content of owned channels

  • Skilled in developing and repurposing on-brand copy and messaging for marketing materials

  • Lead meetings with all levels of leadership within the enterprise, which includes “selling” ideas through from concept to production

  • Partner with stakeholders and internal and external subject matter experts to create, maintain and update content

  • Ensure all creative deliverables align with key marketing initiatives, meet campaign goals and remain consistent across owned channels through tone, style and choice of content

  • Consistent, impeccable attention to detail for language, grammar and tone of voice

  • Ensure adherence to established SEO guidelines through integrated content

  • Lead team in prioritization and integration of key messaging points, including key narratives

  • Meet all deadlines and milestones for efficient delivery of copy to reviewers and stakeholders

  • Manage workflow and trafficking of copy for owned channels

  • Lead, mentor and motivate junior copywriters

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • 10 – 15+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Strong writing portfolio of work and concepts, including some that have been received well in-market or recognized, preferably with data, as high-performing.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Strong command of the English language, grammar, advertising

  • Ability to think and write creatively

  • Proven track record of bringing brand concepts to life

  • Proven track record of public speaking, or actively presenting concepts and idea to all levels of management and peer groups

  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional creative deliverables

  • Proved track-record of effectively and successfully managing a copy team, both functionally and/or operationally

  • Solid conceptual skill-set, which translates into “selling” copy

  • Able to articulate complex ideas into simple narratives

  • Versed in providing impromptu feedback during creative sessions

  • Thorough understanding of marketing communications

  • Must possess both hard and soft professional/business skills
