What you’ll be doing...

You will leading the Sales Compensation team, the design and development of sales compensation strategy and its execution across all sales channels at Verizon Wireless. Partnering across broad cross-functional teams, you will design and develop sales compensation strategy, plans, and policies for all Wireless sales channels. You will ensure ongoing evolution of the sales plan to align with business transformation. The work you do will attract and reward the people that make us successful every day.

  • Incorporating leading strategies and components to effectively align incentive compensation with business plan, strategy, structure and jobs - within and across channels, through partnerships with broad-based and wireline sales compensation teams.
  • Designing implementing and enhancing sales compensation governance plans and processes, including Incentive and Quota reviews.
  • Understanding the go-to-market strategies, organization structures, and sales jobs across all channels.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with Finance, Sales Operations, and Commissions teams to ensure ongoing alignment on strategy, sales compensation plans, quota setting, as well as commissions systems capabilities needed.
  • Partnering with key business groups to develop agile compensation and commission systems, tools, and reporting capabilities.
  • Developing sales comp analytics capability to monitor plan effectiveness, pay and performance alignment, and understanding trends, identify risks and issues, and evaluating scenarios to recommend and implement timely solutions.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive communication and education strategy for sales compensation plans and ongoing plan changes; ensuring key stakeholders have a thorough understanding of the plan through timely, simple and intuitive content and delivery approach.
  • Presenting regular read-outs, analyses, and recommendations to Executive Leadership.
  • Providing day-to-day support for clients and stakeholders.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in sales compensation plan design or sales operations.
  • Experience leading design, implementation, and management of sales compensation programs.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in a national corporate environment, preferably with a technology company, or experience with Sales Effectiveness/Sales Compensation in a consulting firm.
  • Experience with leading and managing large, complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated development of creative solutions and fact-based decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience presenting to executives
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Leadership experience.
