What you’ll be doing...

Verizon Connect is seeking a Mobile QA Automation Engineer to join our engineering team responsible for delivering our native iOS and Android products. We are looking for someone with an innovative mind set and experience using and contributing to automation frameworks for our native mobile apps. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving and judgment skills. The Verizon Connect environment is dynamic and ever changing; we need someone who is comfortable working in this atmosphere and has the motivation to strive towards constant effectiveness and efficiency within the team.

Key Skills:

    • Execute some in-depth manual testing
    • Write automated tests using C#, NUnit and Appium
    • Maintain existing tests ensuring compatibility with any newly developed platform features
    • Execute, investigate and report on the success of automated and manual tests as part of an Agile development lifecycle
    • Communicate bug reports effectively

What we’re looking for...


    • 2 years of experience in the development of Automated Tests
    • 1 year of continuous automation experience using C#.
    • Strong knowledge of REST protocols
    • Experience with Jira or similar project tracking tools
    • Experience with Fiddler/Charles proxy or similar
    • Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design practices.
    • Experience with backend services technologies, knowledge of backend communication protocols (TCP, HTTP, SOAP, etc.)
    • Good working experience and knowledge of Automation tools, technologies and best practices.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to drive quality of the product through active communication both inside and outside of the team, and ability to make decisions on that level.
    • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent education.

What we consider a plus:

    • Experience using Appium
    • Experience with TestRail or similar test case management tools
      • Experience with BrowserStack
      • Experience in utilizing Lean Startup methods and analytics
      • A self starter with a customer focussed mindset interested in growing and continuous improvement

In addition, there is an on-going requirement to improve / define team processes that will add value to the business and result in an improved customer experience and increased revenues.
