The Yahoo Small Business (YSB) group at Verizon creates digital solutions that enable small and medium businesses to build, manage, and grow online. Our services include website building, domain management, website hosting, dynamic local listing, e-commerce, and business mail.

YSB also manages a complementary suite of apps covering actionable live web insights, application/developer platform, real time traffic tracking and analytics, recommendations, provisioning management, subscription/billing management, and merchant solutions.

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Ads team. You’ll be a part of the team that builds meaningful connections between small businesses, advertising opportunities and users while working closely with YSB engineering and business teams to drive ads user experience and advertiser value. This role requires high engagement, the ability to build collaboration, and drive strategic direction by raising visibility of trends, issues, and opportunities across the organization. It also requires attention to details to connect the dots and to ensure key business deliverables are met.


  • Manage full life cycle of a product from definition through to execution for the Ads team
  • Identify market opportunities and define product vision and strategy for ads
  • Understand consumer needs through data analysis and collection of quantitative data from user surveys
  • Develop performance metrics to assess product success; initiate and communicate product launches/iterations as part of go-to-market strategy and engagement with marketing teams
  • Engage closely with the engineering team to prioritize and execute on projects efficiently and feasibly in accordance with implementation schedules
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to improve product performance and consumer experience

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or four or more years of product management experience
  • 3+ years of experience in building adtech/martech products
  • Ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends

Even better if you have:

  • MS in Computer Engineering or an MBA
  • Experience of building products for Small Medium businesses
  • Understanding of web hosting, domains and business email products
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, ability to interpret data to provide recommendations and develop strategies to the vast leadership teams
  • Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently and work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical and data skills
  • Ability to build high-impact narratives
