What you’ll be doing...

This role is responsible for the commercial segment marketing requirements for B2B in Verizon Wireless. The individual will assess & work to create segment-based marketing programs to create solutions and value propositions for the commercial segment and work with product marketing managers to ensure their respective segment is accounted for during product life cycle management. This role will work with Market leads and Field teams to understand the business needs, strategies & products for their respective segment, as well as work with Strategy, Business Insights, and Product Marketing to create segment specific recommendations. This position will gather input from business intelligence research, internal/external data sources, and internal/external customers in order to formulate segment based solutions and value propositions for B2B.

  • Create personas and value propositions for commercial segment leading to the development of solution and product specific marketing plans in support of the go-to-market strategy.
  • Be a key stakeholder to all marketing, advertising and promotional activities within commercial segment.
  • Manage market research and provide recommendations to determine market requirements for existing and future products; support preparation of customer research, including current market conditions and competitor information.
  • Be a key stakeholder to implementation of marketing plans and projects for new and existing services.
  • Monitor, review and report out on all marketing activity and results and upcoming projects.
  • Perform critical analysis of buying behaviors and journey mapping for commercial segment. Understand trends which provides input into what types of offers to create as well as where to execute.
  • Be a key stakeholder to integrated marketing programs for the channels supporting commercial sales. Ensure marketing plans are developed addressing key customer segments within the larger commercial customer segment.
  • Develop & maintain market segment business plans. Direct market research projects to gather customer insights to identify customer needs. Evaluate segment and industry trends, competitive analysis. Analyze market segment KPIs (subscribers, revenue, and penetration) and make recommendations for improvement.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Background in marketing to the commercial segment
  • Experience defining business benefits to technology solutions
  • Experience leading market segment strategy and execution
  • Understand broad technologies used by our business customers
  • Familiarity with Verizon and competitors’ product portfolios
  • Understand buying behaviors and technology trends to address business segment requirements
  • Broad technology background
  • Segment marketing experience in developing go-to-market strategies
  • Customer centric marketing experience in delivering complex solutions in a simplified manner
  • extensive telecom knowledge
