What you’ll be doing...

Project Managers are responsible for seeing a project through to completion, establishing deadlines and are held accountable for results of the project. Project Managers will take requirements from staff and other organizations and translate them into schedules that map resources and major milestones. Project Managers will typically perform resource and scope analyses throughout the life cycle of the project being managed to ensure that targets are met and to advise leadership on adjustments that need to be made to ensure project success.

As the HIICAP Project Manager for the Core Team, you will be responsible for the management of the work flow associated with the delivery of high speed Ethernet, DS1 and DS3 services customers within the NYC, MA/RI and Upstate NY Franchise Service Areas. Your role will have the responsibility of interfacing with the regional access engineering teams to ensure their work products are delivered in the timely manner to support the installation of High Capacity communication services that meet the operational plans defined by senior Verizon’s management team. Additionally, you will be the primary point of contact between the engineering and constructions teams to ensure seamless delivery of high speed internet services to Verizon customers.

  • Understanding of telecommunication service industry and / or information systems.

  • Multi-tasking within a fast paced environment.

  • Analyzing data and effectively communicate project status to multiple stakeholders.

  • Providing proactive and engaged leadership on key projects deliverables and improve customer experience.

  • Participating with the Core Program Management Team to analyze operational efficiency data against corporate KPIs to consider additional factors to sustain, grow, or streamline the organization.

  • Facilitating team meetings with cross-functional teams.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • An MBA or advanced degree in a STEM related, engineering, business, or related technical discipline.

  • Telecommunications Project Management experience.

  • Experience in Lean and Six Sigma.

  • Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills, including ability to conduct outside/inside research, analyze data, and use MS Excel effectively to develop models and drive analyses.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills, including ability to create presentations using MS PowerPoint and experience presenting to all levels of an organization.

  • Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.

  • Proven record for managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and budget.

  • PowerPoint and Excel skills.
