What you’ll be doing...

Verizon’s Yahoo Small Business (YSB) team empowers millions of small business owners and entrepreneurs to build, manage, and grow their businesses online. We define and impact the way small businesses thrive in today’s digital landscape through our suite of apps and services. Our services include website building, domain management, website hosting, dynamic local listing, e-commerce, and business mail.

YSB also manages a complementary suite of apps covering actionable live web insights, application/developer platforms, real time traffic tracking and analytics, recommendations, provisioning management, subscription/billing management, and merchant solutions.

You will drive business relationships with new and existing independent software vendors (ISVs) that are necessary to help build, manage, and grow small businesses online. You will be part of the team that creates and manages ISV partnerships that accelerate value to small businesses, ensuring the seamless delivery of our suite of small business solutions through these partners. You will understand the needs and priorities of small businesses while working closely with YSB engineering and business teams to build a robust partner network to drive strategic goals.

  • Driving the ISV business development funnel from exploration to contract completion.
  • Defining and building our ISV partner pipeline with clear go-to-market strategies for partners to maximize their outreach.
  • Working closely with the YSB Product Management and Marketing teams.
  • Growing and scaling our ISV partner network.
  • Determining monthly and quarterly metrics to track individual partner performance.
  • Working with marketing to develop collateral for use by partners in customer outreach, sales and marketing.
  • Collaborating with Finance, Legal, and Ops teams to manage partner contract negotiations and onboarding.

What we’re looking for...

You are highly engaged and have the ability to build collaboration, and drive strategic direction by raising visibility of trends, issues, and opportunities across the organization. You are comfortable working in an environment that is constantly changing, and have the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks to keep pace with a fast and innovative market.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in business development, sales and client management, or program management in SaaS.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Track record of building and scaling partnerships with independent software vendors.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial experience in growing partner ecosystems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with team members across the organization.
  • Understanding of how small businesses operate and the impact of cloud-based solutions for small business owners.
  • Experience sourcing or building a partner pipeline to accelerate brand awareness and conversion.
  • Experience with negotiation and evaluation tools to onboard new partners and track their performance.
  • Operational experience managing a team to identify market opportunities and associated risks.
  • Business acumen, innovation, clear communication skills, and comfort working with our high-energy team.
  • Experience selling software solutions to small and medium businesses.
  • Understanding of e-commerce, web hosting, domains and advertising products.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to interpret data to provide recommendations and develop strategies to vast leadership teams.
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently and working in a fast paced environment.
