What you’ll be doing...

As our Designated Tier 2 Engineer, you will work in the Network Operations Centre which is responsible for management and repair of complex integrated customer solutions. In this role, you will provide 2nd level operations support for bespoke network solutions which includes hands on troubleshooting, implementation of changes and maintaining technical documentation. In this role, you will provide both day and night shifts on a 24/7 basis.

  • Operational in-depth technical expert for a complex and bespoke managed network solution.
  • Be a key escalation point for tier 1 teams.
  • Troubleshoot, classify and correlate network incidents and problems on tier 2.
  • Implement standard changes.
  • Join conference calls to assist customer change or testing activity.
  • Provide updates to the customer and respond to requests for information.
  • Support Service Managers on creating RCA and other reports.
  • Provide technical and service related training to tier 1 and 2 engineers.
  • Be available to work out of business hours for maintenance or on-call activations.

    What we’re looking for...

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
    • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
    • Fluency in English.

    Even better if you have:

    • Bachelor degree educated or equivalent.
    • Experience in implementing or operating complex IP networks.
    • Good understanding of routing and switching and/or VoIP/IPT technologies.
    • Cisco Professional level certification (CCNP) or equivalent experience.
    • Basic UNIX skills.
    • ITIL knowledge.
    • Proficiency with MS-Office applications.
    • 3+ years of experience in service provider companies.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written communications skills.
    • Fluency in English communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Ability to be very customer and service oriented.
    • Ability to be a team player with excellent communications skills and structured work approach.
