What you’ll be doing...

  • Support the ordering and installation of local loops for connections into Verizon’s data networks and meet customer desired due date.
  • Provide external customer support - call local site contacts and validate technical requirements before placing orders with third parties. Provide local customer with delivery milestones and serve as a local contact for customer inquiries concerning delivery of service.
  • Provide internal customer support – ensure provisioning systems are updated with planned delivery dates and milestones. Proactively communicate delays. Work with implementation management and sales teams to overcome obstacles, provide technical guidance and recommendations to eliminate barriers to delivery.
  • Coordinate delivery of service with local telecom providers.
  • Support network engineering and optimization projects to maximize network resources while minimizing cost.
  • Perform basic circuit design and configuration of Verizon’s equipment in support of service delivery requirements.
  • Support local field operations with coordinating customer resources, scheduling site visits and customer activation timings.
  • Manage suppliers/PTT/vendors for smooth delivery of service and meet customer desired due dates.
  • Proactively monitor and escalate missed milestones to suppliers and vendors as required.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience in the Network Engineering and Operations functions within the IT / ICT / Telco industries preferably with Global Services / Solution Provider experience in the Asia Pacific regions.
  • Experience managing PTT’s in Telco ordering and Order management.
  • Good understanding of IP, Ethernet, Frame relay, ATM, MPLS, SDH, Transmission, DACCS, Multiplexer, Router, Voice and VoIP.
  • Experience in Voice and Data telecom equipment, PC, Window OS, UNIX operation and PC server hardware support.
  • Willingness to perform 24x7 hours shift work as needed.
  • Demonstrated capability to be highly focused on delivery of results with the proven ability to operate with a degree of autonomy and adaptable to change, demonstrated ability to operate within a matrix yet dynamic environment.
