  • Researching and analyzing market data, trends, and salary surveys to make compensation recommendations.
  • Performing job evaluations and ensuring correct leveling and compliance with FLSA guidelines.
  • Planning, developing, and implementing compensation programs, policies and procedures.
  • Providing on-going consultation to client groups.
  • Developing and implementing compensation communications.
  • Independently conducting projects and participating in special projects as requested.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Managing large, complex projects using project management methodologies. Responsible for planning, executing the completionof assigned projects.
  • Participating as a core-team member on the development of Sales Compensation Plans, compensation analyses, and reviews.
  • Measuring sales compensation plan effectiveness through analysis of actual sales performance compared with commission targets.
  • Developing, maintaining, updating, and preparing routine and ad-hoc reports and analyses for sales compensation plan components.
  • Consistently investigating methods of improving and/or increasing automation of reporting process; documenting and standardizingprocedures for metrics and reporting.
  • Defining system requirements necessary for effective compensation reporting.
  • Partnering with assigned client groups and field HR to provide guidance on sales compensation policies and practices. Recommending corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation related problems.
  • Participating in third party salary surveys and analyzing survey results to determine competitive position.
  • Keeping abreast of relevant trends, regulation changes and literature pertaining to sales compensation.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Worked in Compensation or Finance, or have done other complex analytical work.
  • Experience within start-up and/or Hi-tech environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging various compensation vehicles to build competitive and complex offers
  • Thorough knowledge of FLSA and DOL regulations
  • Must possess excellent verbal and writing skills and the ability to communicate with senior management.
  • Highly proficient in the latest word processing, presentation, and data analysis software (e.g. Microsoft Suite, MS Access, etc.)

In addition:

  • Experience in sales compensation.
  • Highly proficient in MS excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
  • High professional standards for customer service, confidentiality, and quality of work.
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems creatively.
