The Designated Tier 3 Engineer works in the Network Operations Centre which is responsible for management and repair of complex integrated customer solutions. This role provides 3rd level operations support for bespoke network solutions which includes hands on troubleshooting, implementation of changes and maintaining technical documentation and defining operational processes. This role works in a blended service delivery model that combines with shared personnel to provide customers with a cost effective service provider solution that also maintains a personal touch to meet their specific needs.

In this role, you will

  • Be the operational in-depth technical expert for a complex and bespoke managed network solution or technology and be final escalation point.
  • Act as a key escalation point for Tier 1& Tier 2
  • Troubleshoot, classify and correlate network incidents and problems on Tier 3 level
  • Implement complex and design impacting changes
  • Transition of new customers into our Team, Work on OLAs and process to ensure supportability of new customers.
  • Provide a key trusted business partnership with our customer
  • Join Major Incident conference calls to assist in troubleshooting activities.
  • Write RCA and other reports and assisting the Service Manager
  • Provide technical and service related training to tier 1 and 2 engineers
  • Be available to work out of business hours for maintenance or on-call activations

What we’re looking for...

To this role, you will bring / you are

  • Long-term Experience in implementing or operating complex IP networks
  • Relevant experience in network operations to a senior level
  • Excellent understanding of routing and switching technologies or IPT (VoIP)
  • CCNP+ experience
  • Basic UNIX skills
  • Bachelor degree educated or equivalent
  • ITIL certification or understanding desired
  • Proficiency with MS-Office applications
  • Several years’ experience in service provider companies
  • Very Customer- & Service-oriented mindset
  • Team player with excellent communications skills and structured work approach
  • Fluent in English – both verbal and written
  • Very customer and service oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, written communications skills
