What you’ll be doing...

Our Network Implementation project managers are responsible for end-to-end implementation of network infrastructure initiatives as it relates to new platform, product and service deployments working with all organizations within Network (HQ Planning, PDI, NNO, ME, Device Technology and the Markets).

  • Performing cross functional work to collaborate with other teams which include: Device Marketing, PMO, IT, and CARE.
  • Managing with leadership qualities to effectively direct deployment activities for the integration and commercial success of new product and services projects. This includes initiating milestones, timelines and direction, aligning people with determination, and willingness to take action and follow through.
  • Developing and executing comprehensive project plans, coordinating multiple teams, managing risk, and presenting status and initiatives to executive leadership.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies applied to project management.
  • A PMI or Project management certification.
  • Experience using Clarity Software.
  • Experience and knowledge in network element RAN (eNB) and features.
  • Experience with Software Defined Networking, Network Function Virtualization, Orchestration, and/or Verizon Cloud Platform.
  • Experience in leadership roles in technology management.
  • Three or more years of experience in managing large cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies as it relates to project management.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Expertise using the full suite of Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated excellent negotiating skills – reaching agreements; problem solving skills – problem definition and decision making.
  • A proven track record of successful project execution.
  • Knowledge to understand a project’s technical breadth (e.g. call flow, billing, provisioning, operations, etc.).
  • Familiarity with a variety of Verizon Wireless (VZW) Network concepts, best practices, and procedures.
