What you’ll be doing...

You will have responsibility for maintaining system, element and platform applications, and providing support for our 4G Network and our 3G Legacy Network. This includes troubleshooting, upgrading, and administering multiple vendor systems, updating daily logs with site-specific information, and composing clear, concise reports for system documentation.

You will be on the leading edge of telecommunications technology while working in a team environment with interaction across several offices and work shifts.

  • Supporting the integration and maintenance of Ericsson RBS6000 products using tools such as OSS and AMOS.
  • Maintaining our Legacy Ericson 3G systems which include: Nortel IOS and Media Gateways, Motorola CDMA RAN equipment and BSCDO shelves.
  • Configuring and maintaining our large Ethernet/MPLS network consisting of Nokia 7750/7705 routers as well as Cisco IOS routers and switches.
  • Monitoring and maintaining our SONET Transport and Dark Fiber networks as well as our Building Systems, including 48Vdc power plants, HVAC systems, generators, and Automatic Transfer Switches and Building Automation Systems

We are a 24/7 operation, requiring evening and on-call shifts.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field, or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or Engineering.
  • CCNA or equivalent certification.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, critical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, presentation and multi-objective skills.
  • Ability to adapt and change with our evolving network.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Knowledge of wireless networks – LTE, IMS, CDMA.
  • Hands-on experience handling configuration and software upgrade for Cisco and ALU, routers and switches.
  • Knowledge of Ciena, Fujitsu and Nokia ROADM and SONET platforms.
  • Knowledge of Ericsson RBS6000 family eNodeBs and OAM architecture (OSS, AMOS).
