What you’ll be doing...

You will serve as the primary point of contact for responding to internal Equal Employment Opportunity complaints in matters of discrimination and harassment. For each case, you’ll conduct an internal investigation including interviewing relevant parties and gathering documentation, and articulating your findings. You will also provide subject matter expertise to all levels of leadership on EEO Law and compliance programs, and practices. You will also serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for an assigned HR Business Partner client group for all leveraged employee relations matters.   • Ensuring compliance with EEO and related federal/state laws, and company policies by reviewing harassment and discrimination complaints and recommending appropriate resolutions.
  • Being a trusted subject matter expert to all levels of HR on complex employee relations matters; including diagnosing problems, negotiating workable solutions, and providing a verbal or written report of fact findings to all levels of leadership.
  • Developing, planning and communicating updates on ER processes, policies and tools.
  • Working with the ER team to continuously update available resources for placement on internal intranet.
  • Managing and delivering training on various ER topics such as respectful workplace and conducting investigations and employment law such as (CTM) in the US and fair employment (PGM) globally.

You establish rapport easily and maintain positive strong professional relationships in what can sometimes be contentious situations. You are comfortable balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience
  • Experience investigating employee complaints and managing employee relations matters.
  • Knowledge of Title VII, ADA, FML and ADEA.

Even better if you have:

  • Juris Doctor degree or legal training/experience.
  • Two or more years of experience handling discrimination and harassment complaints filed with the U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission and state agencies.
  • Proven excellent interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to facilitate collaborative solutions to multi-disciplinary problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence through relationships.
  • Demonstrated strong presentation skills.
  • Experience as a human resources business partner to include employee relations.
  • Knowledge of labor relations.
  • Proven strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
