What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Analyst for Logistics Services functions as part of the Reverse Monetization team to deliver incremental revenue in traditional and non-traditional channels (Secondary Marketplaces, Agent Channel, Alternative Online Marketplaces like eBay/Amazon/etc, and VZW.com, etc.). The Senior Analyst responsibilities will include managing and developing projects, deliver incremental revenue streams across multiple programs by sourcing data and merging complex data streams. In this role, you will work closely with the entire Reverse Logistics sales teams, SCM Senior Management & staff and other internal groups as needed. The Senior Analyst will have an understanding of Indirect Sales Channel and Alternate Marketplaces, including pricing and velocity. The Senior Analyst will be able to maintain Channel inventory allocations and pricing. In addition, this role will support the group and WSC in the area of developing executive presentations, Excel, PowerPoint, and G-Suite programs as needed. The Core responsibility is building and maintaining monetization programs that consistently maximize revenues, margins and market share.

Drive achievement of strategic and revenue objectives:

  • Lead the identification of alternative revenue streams to diversify our Reverse Monetization portfolio to increase the inflow of devices for resale across various programs.
  • Tracking, analysis and reporting on key Sales metrics which drive achievement of EBITDA targets, Gross Revenue, Net Margin, COGS, Selling Prices, Recovery Value, and Expense Avoidance.
  • Utilize analytics to understand key issues, identify and implement best in class solutions.
  • Build and maintain an understanding of products and price information.
  • Foster growth and drive sales through internal & external relationships that increases profitability and revenue across secondary marketplaces.
  • Develop bid packages & business cases designed to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Develop ideas or recommendations that may have an impact on existing or future systems/ applications, products, service or procedures and business processes.

Lead collaboration across functional teams to achieve Key Metrics

  • Proactively manage inventory of multiple programs for Secondary marketplace sales (CPOX) to ensure inventory KPIs such as Days of Supply, Aging, and Working Capital are achieved.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Inventory accounting leadership to ensure product availability and correct financial booking for revenue & margin by program.
  • Support, coordinate and lead Market & field teams; listen to field challenges/successes and implement programs/improvements accordingly.
  • Manage shipping process by collaborating with Operations team to optimize cycle time and flow, reduce costs, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping and product discrepancy issues; make recommendations for process improvements which will reduce or eliminate discrepancies and returns.
  • Manage returns processes across marketplaces and optimize each programs returns, as well as design, implement, and improve new program returns process as they are launched.

Support communication objectives of the Monetization team and WSC organization

  • Develop PowerPoint updates for the Monetization team.
  • Support WSC organization with PowerPoint presentations for meetings and calls, as needed including Executive Decks and Monthly leadership updates.
  • Research and develop other tools to help with the overall department communication needs.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Strong competency in VZW systems/practices and sales and support channels.
  • Strong Proficiency with Excel, Teradata SQL and VZ Data Warehouse, and SAP.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with KPI management.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem solving, and data analytical skills.
  • Competency with both strategic and tactical decision making.
  • Highly developed critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to independently organize and prioritize multiple complex assignments and projects, and successfully driving them to completion within the required timeframe.
  • Ability to be a self-starter; proven success working in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to cultivate strong collaborative working relationships and contacts within work group, across the company, and with external organizations.
  • Demonstrated competency in communication and presentation skills; capability to develop clear messages across multiple communication platforms and tools.
  • Demonstrated success independently leading and implementing solutions.
  • Telecommunications business acumen.
