What you’ll be doing...

As our Manager of Technology in the New Product Development organization, you will manage all development resources (internal employees and suppliers) and their activities to deliver Messaging products and services for our customers. Your role with focus on innovation and development of quality products and services to keep Messaging relevant to our customers.

  • Developing of Messaging Gateway and Core products.
  • Being the single point of contact for management escalations pertaining to all development related activities.
  • Developing and communicating team goals as well as tracking team accomplishments.
  • Recruiting and assembling excellent team members, establishing each position’s roles and responsibilities to execute development and deployment of product and services.
  • Assigning tasks to team members to keep accountability towards achievement of team goals.
  • Partnering with cross functional management peers to develop business strategies and tactical approaches in accomplishing goals.
  • Motivating and mentoring team members to establish and accomplish business goals.
  • Planning and managing investment budgets to drive excellent returns.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Computer Science or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master’s in Business, Engineering, Computer Science.
  • Two or more years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Seven or more years of experience in product development experiences in various leadership roles.
  • Experience with SMS, MMS suite of protocols, SMPP, SIP, XMPP, MSRP, HTTP, TCP, UDP, IMAP, POP3, SMTP, Java, Mongo DB, Hadoop,J2EE, SQL database, JMS, LINUX/UNIX and SNMP.
  • Hands on experience with systems engineering and design relative to data communications, including specifying, designing and implementing complex national data networks in a multi-location environment with application development and integration.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership of cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications skills, and advanced presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and working experience in design, implementation and diagnosis of SMS/MMS traffic routing from device to networks within and across carriers.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cellular network design and operations.
  • Good working knowledge of CDMA (1XRTT,EVDO), 4G LTE and IMS. GSM interworking knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience working with suppliers and internal teams in the definition of technical product requirements and design throughout product development cycles.
