What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for providing telecommunication processes and technical support in the Engineering solutions team primarily supporting the Core Engineering Organizations. Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Participating in cross functional teams (Engineering, IT, Provisioning) in driving positive results for multiple activities related to the strategic wireline network initiatives.
  • Participating or facilitating the development and implementation of internal process and standardization initiatives.
  • Participating in OSS integration and process improvement, as well as providing subject matter expertise to define OSS strategy.
  • Providing support and direction for the integration of companywide, standard processes.
  • Providing technical solutions to engineering, including process and training documentation.
  • Providing training via different mediums to impacted organizations.
  • Developing network initiatives and leading both small and large projects to improve productivity.
  • Coordinating and leading UAT testing efforts.
  • Participating in cross functional teams (Engineering, IT, Provisioning) in driving positive results for multiple activities related to the strategic wireline network initiatives.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in one or more ISP/OSP Network Engineering disciplines, including IOF, Access, Data.
  • Knowledge of the iEN Network.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience in Engineering and/or an Engineering support function.
  • Demonstrated capability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated teamwork in cross functional teams.
  • Worked effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a technical strategic thought leader as well as a “hands on" implementer.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple initiatives with competing objectives.
  • Desire to learn new skills and take on new tasks as needed.
  • Experience with Engineering Inventory & Provisioning systems.
  • Experience creating process documentation (M&P) and process flows.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio or iGrafx.
  • A solid understanding of relational databases (SQL experience a plus).
  • Experience in an Agile Environment with a solid understanding of roles.
  • Experience creating UAT test plan & scripts.
