What you’ll be doing...

Verizon Fios Design is looking for a Project Manager to help drive user centric transformation within the business. As a member of the Design organization, you’ll have the ability to marry strong operational and project management chops with an intuition for creating amazing user experiences. You should be comfortable managing roadmaps and communications, understanding modern design and engineering methodologies, and thrive in collaboratively arriving at beautiful and highly accessible solutions.

  • Managing and coordinating strategic initiatives within the organization.
  • Leading the development of roadmap and business plans for the Design organization that outlines specific projects and the benefit associated with each.
  • Communicating with teams from various disciplines and businesses to simplify complex ideas into clearly aligned goals that promote progress.
  • Seamlessly joining various product teams at any point within a cycle, understanding the goals and priorities, and helping accelerate the team by finding gaps and proactively fixing them.
  • Helping inform how we market products and services to users so they clearly understand the benefits.
  • Partnering closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure that information in our experiences is simple, human and user centered; while also meeting the requirements of our legal and compliance needs.
  • Partnering closely with our brand teams to ensure that visual assets and copy in our experiences is simple, human and user centered; while also tightly aligning with our brand voice and marketing messaging.
  • Developing and executing processes to provide executive view of releases, including internal and external projects and benefit contribution of each.
  • Facilitating strategy decisions, escalations and mitigation approaches with input across the team.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Project management experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience coordinating large project implementations.
  • An unwavering openness and thirst for learning.
  • Ability to read and create system maps and wireframes and utilize them as effective communication tools to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Experience and competency in one or more of the following areas: design, technology, legal, finance, compliance, or operations.
  • Experience project managing sites or apps.
  • High proficiency with G Suite and collaborative software as a tool to promote concurrency, efficiency, and transparency.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage your schedule against multiple milestones and release dates.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage all aspects of projects concurrently.
