We’re looking for someone that wants to contribute to successfully transforming the Verizon Connect organization. In a fast-moving culture and quickly changing landscape, we need your creativity, ability to drive change, and superb communication skills to help us successfully onboard and integrate new companies into our family. Your focus will be on day one activities and beyond, including supporting transformational projects throughout the business.

You will apply your expertise to create timely, relevant communications that are designed to share implementation news and updates in a seamlessly integrated fashion for our employees. You will focus on creating interaction and two way dialogue across a variety of mediums. You’ll help define the right cadence and vehicle to ensure we have frequent, informative, and fun updates across all of our locations. Your ability to partner with local talent is critical to helping us tailor and send the right messages to the right audiences. Through communications, you will be responsible to understand and manage the cultural differences within the newly acquired companies, preserving the success factors, while enhancing other aspects to achieve greater impact.

Your experience leading and navigating change is critical to our success. You will partner with other work streams and leaders to understand what is changing, why it matters, how big of a splash the change will make and any risks we need to navigate. Working with key partners, you will then craft a plan to bring these opportunities to life and maximize our success. Your goal is first and foremost to care for the experience of the employees as we build a new company together.

About you

  • Keen reader of people, culture and tea leaves; build the relationships to make things happen.
  • Trust is your first, not your middle name. You know that trusting relationships are paramount.
  • Unique ability to conduct conversations with various levels then distill out the challenges, risk, issues, obstacles, opportunities, and success factors.
  • While you don’t have a crystal ball, you have the experience to know what risks to expect and how to proactively mitigate them
  • Ability and experience to conduct an engaging conversation with technical teams. While you may not be a world renowned Mr. Robot hacker you can figure complex technical things out and carry on a great two way dialogue necessary to understand what's left and how you can help move forward.
  • Communicate and present succinctly, and gravitate to those hard discussions without fear!
  • Measure success by outcomes not checklists.
  • Comfortable bending between the tactical and strategic.
  • Understand what decisions need to be made and at what level.
  • Keep the big picture in mind while focusing on the immediate, consumable deliverable.
  • Need little direction and can execute with minimal oversight while delivering top quality work, on time (or better yet, early!)
  • Partner effectively with others, leveraging their unique contributions and expertise to advance the mission.


Integration Methodology, Tools, and Deployment

  • Develop methods and tools to support an integrated communications plan & activities
  • Collect input from the right stakeholders, then constructively challenge assumptions and ideas
  • Strategize with work stream owners/business leads to uncover blind spots, provide alternate points of view, push the envelope, design best-fit solutions
  • Facilitate lessons learned meetings to identify opportunities for continuous refinement
  • Provide timely, relevant updates to varying audiences

Operational Effectiveness

  • Create strategies and functional implementation plans that effectively accomplish business objectives
  • Create functional milestones, interdependencies, and communication plans
  • Create change management plans that enable quick adoption
  • Protect the newly acquired organizations; serve as a liaison
  • Proactively prepare your assigned divisions for transition events
  • Help implement new processes that achieve greater operational effectiveness and organizational synergies
  • Coordinate efforts of internal process owners and subject matter experts to extrapolate impacts and needs
  • Anticipate and evaluate risks; develop and deliver solutions to address
  • Create a project plan or timeline in MS PowerPoint or MS Project quickly

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in facilitating large-scale organizational initiatives and ERP / CRM implementations
  • 8+ years of experience in program management, training and facilitation, and communications
  • Bachelor Degree in Behavioral Science or related experience
  • Lean Six Sigma/DMAIC/Design methodology
  • ERP / CRM experience

Even better if you have:

  • Experience working across company boundaries; functions well in ambiguous and complex environment
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and diplomatically negotiate common approach
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to work collaboratively and individually to achieve stated goals
  • Salesforce and SAP experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent consultative, facilitation, and communication skills – ability to create compelling vision, drive change, influence decision making
  • Strong business acumen to support strategic alignment of initiatives
  • Ability to travel as needed
