What you’ll be doing...

This position is for an Identity & Access Management engineer responsible for physical access management solutions controlling access to over 200 network department locations across the United States. The position requires a thorough understanding of identity management, logical systems, physical access control systems, and Microsoft SQL databases.

As part of the Network Security IAM team, you will be responsible for implementing new features, correcting defects, and providing third tier application support for critical IAM software supporting 12,000+ users. You will work directly with the Cyber-Ark, Quantum Secure SAFE, Softwarehouse C-Cure 9000, Genetec Security Center, and One Identity Manager applications as well as key organizational stakeholders to ensure adherence to IAM standards and best practices.

IAM Engineering

  • Working with organizational stakeholders and application teams to ensure that IAM security requirements are met by all systems.
  • Working with IAM Architects and Business Analyst to improve and optimize IAM platforms. Using functional and design requirements engineer, document, implement integrations for Physical and Logical Access Control systems.
  • Implementing new IAM hardware, services, and applications under the direction of senior IAM staff.
  • Providing technical expertise and assistance to development team to include direction and guidance when integrating new applications and providing fixes.
  • Ensuring that contractors and Tier 2 organization follow change control procedures.
  • Creating MOPS for IAM platform changes.
  • Performing Security Engineering review of MOPS from vendors and other teams.
  • Assisting in the testing and debugging of new IAM implementations and integrations.

Application Support

  • Providing Tier 3 application support to NSS Operations staff support for when issues exceed Tier 2’s technical capabilities to resolve issues on IAM platforms.
  • Analyzing platform logs for performance issues, alarms, or errors and remediate findings.
  • Working with Support team to address system issues or end user provisioning issues.

Technical Leadership

  • Building, updating, and maintaining technical training documentation for Network Security tools and processes.
  • Delivering periodic technical training to internal stakeholders as needed.

Upgrade and Patch Management

  • Working with release managers and other stakeholders to drive compliance with SDLC processes.
  • Validation of patching and changes in lower environments prior to production patching.
  • Applying patches for application components on production systems.

Vendor Management

  • Working with vendors to ensure the proper development of IAM Architect designs.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Two or more years of experience operating, integrating, and deploying Quantum Secure SAFE, Genetec Security Center, or Softwarehouse C-Cure 9000.
  • Two or more years of experience in integrating security and IAM products with common identity stores (LDAP, relational databases, application servers, virtual directory servers, physical access management systems.).
  • CISSP.
  • A thorough functional understanding of physical access control systems.
  • A working understanding of identity and access management concepts.
  • A working understanding of logical and physical access control system integration.
  • Experience managing credentials using Cyber-Ark.
  • Working knowledge of IP Routing, TCP/UDP communication, and SNMP, RADIUS, and LDAP protocols.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, and directory technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to construct and run queries against relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.).
  • Experience in role base analysis and designing/implementing RBAC solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills working within complex systems.
  • Experience with markup languages (XML, XHTML, etc.) as well as working with web services.
  • Experience in the installation and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows Server 2008R2/2012/2016.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical resources and executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to research new techniques and technologies that yield cost-effective results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize, and organize to meet deadlines.
  • A thorough and detail oriented work approach.
  • Demonstrated excellent vendor management skills.
  • Work experience with a mobile carrier.
