What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for managing and overseeing a combined total of 3M SF of VZ Verizon properties in the northern Texas/Metroplex region. This position will require the oversight of Union employees, and oversight of the outsourced Facilities Management (FM) partners.

  • Work with various departments to oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and various facility projects.
  • Plan and monitor expense and capital budgets.
  • Partner with members of the Global Real Estate Team, Strategic Partner, Vendor Base, Sourcing, EH&S, Risk Management, Finance and Legal Teams to evaluate and address facilities operations driven projects.
  • Inspect all construction and installation projects to ensure completion of designed scope.
  • Ensure all projects are conducted using quality principles and appropriate development methodologies.
  • Work closely with FM vendor developing PM programs, and proactive associated maintenance programs.
  • Work closely with the on-site Café Operations, Mailroom/Receiving, and Corporate Security teams at various locations to ensure employee safety, as well as Corporate and municipality compliance.
  • Responsible for Environmental and Safety compliance at all applicable facilities.
  • Meet with internal customers frequently to establish solid business relationships.
  • Monitor daily work requests, to ensure they are addressed in accordance with Corporate KPI’s.
  • Oversee workforce to manage complex tasks and routinely use non-standard procedures to resolve issues.
  • Monitor the team’s performance as it relates to all facility systems and take corrective action when warranted.
  • Manage situations which may require adaptation of response or extensive research.
  • Develop and deliver Executive Level Reporting on targets and results.
  • Develop and maintain Reporting and Analysis to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Occasional Travel: depending on need/ locally and regionally. Approximately 50% of the time.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with facility operations including maintenance and repair of generators, HVAC systems and/or other building equipment.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Facility related field or equivalent experience in Facilities Management and building trades.
  • Experience in all maintenance trades, knowledge of various building codes, and strong background with critical building systems i.e.: UPS, Transfer Switches, Generators, Fire life Safety, Electrical and Mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a robust team of direct reports and oversight of additional outsource personnel.
  • Five or more years of experience in Facilities Management.
  • Experience managing union employees.
  • Demonstrated communication skills-both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated strong program and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office and/or Google programs.
