What you’ll be doing...

Verizon’s launch of 5G service will usher in a new era of functionality. 5G is the fifth generation of wireless technology. It means a faster and more powerful network, with a massive impact on how we live, work and play.

The Mobile Gaming Product Manager is charged with delivering next generation gaming experiences that harnesses the power and capabilities of Verizon’s 5G network connectivity.

  • Ideation and visioning – Directing and overseeing the creation of brand-defining mobile gaming products, experiences and partnerships that showcase the power of Verizon’s 5G network. You are a seasoned first party producer who has worked with teams of engineers, designers, and artists to create high quality player-focused games.

  • Product strategy – Defining and owning product vision, strategy and business case for all mobile gaming products, partnerships and services. Providing business specifications and prioritizing features for the execution of Minimum Viable Product (MVP) ensuring that anticipated MVP cost meets Return on Investment (ROI) expectations. Owning content and IP roadmap for both mobile games. Evaluating internal capabilities and external opportunities (building, partnering and investing) based on qualitative, quantitative and financial measures. Continuously monitoring customer, competitor, market and technological forces to address customer needs and gain market share.

  • Product Management – Championing mobile gaming both internally and externally. Leading internal teams and outside partners in identifying, prioritizing, building, and piloting innovative mobile gaming products, experiences and partnerships. Working closely with product development, network, sales, marketing and advertising teams to ensure consistent focus on improving the product P&L and meeting established goals. Reviewing product performance, profitability, impact to shareholder value, contribution to brand growth and customer love. Representing Verizon in any external meetings and industry events to enhance the marketing and branding efforts.

What we’re looking for...

You are a passionate advocate for the customer and a champion for change, willing to challenge the status quo. You are a self-starter comfortable with working in a fast-paced, newly established environment. You are a strategic problem solver and are execution oriented with the ability to start with a blank slate, operationalize the final solution, and lead all the steps in between. You are a leader with the ability to influence and drive toward continuous innovation and improvements. You have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and can communicate with all levels both inside and outside the organization.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in science, engineering, economics or creative fields.
  • Six or more years of experience within product management, product marketing, marketing communications, or game producer at an AAA gaming publisher.
  • Proven results in last five gaming product launches.
  • Substantial experience leading cross-functionally in a highly matrixed environment.
