What you’ll be doing...

In this role, you will be part of the 5G Digital Ecosystem team, working closely with internal, enterprise-wide, cross-functional teams and global operators to drive results on a multi-year strategy. You will be responsible for driving the next generation network, exchanging best practices and collaborating on key initiatives with various strategic partners.

  • Driving the 5G ecosystem through engagements with Global Operators to advance technology progression, and partnering with Global Operators to discuss 5G trials and use cases.
  • Managing a portfolio of Operators in similar standing position as Verizon, collaborating on best practices, driving vendor roadmaps, etc.
  • Engaging with senior leadership within Verizon and outside through forums that educate and influence the direction of 5G with the global operator community.
  • Providing project updates, ensuring project deadlines and milestones are met and performing competitive analysis on the global operator landscape.
  • Communicating project progress, and managing risk contingencies and expectations.
  • Effectively managing and handling multiple priorities in a changing and fast paced business environment.
  • Developing collaborative working relationships across our various business units, affiliates and global operators to foster a productive, successful project implementation.
  • Actively seeking partnerships to drive innovation.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with Network projects transforming network technology.
  • Knowledge of NFV/SDN, 4G LTE, and 5G concepts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • PMP certification.
  • Certification and/or experience with Lean Six Sigma.
  • Strong project management skills, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Global experience.
  • Bilingual/trilingual fluency.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps concepts.
  • Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency, proactive approach, flexibility, strategic thinking ability, and self-motivation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to lead in a fast paced environment and interact with Executives within and outside Verizon.
  • Working knowledge of the Verizon Wireless network and technology.
