Verizon’s Yahoo Small Business (YSB) group creates digital solutions that enable small and medium businesses to build, manage, and grow online. Our services include website building, domain management, website hosting, dynamic local listing, e-commerce, and business mail. We also manage a complementary suite of apps covering actionable live web insights, application/developer platform, real time traffic tracking and analytics, recommendations, provisioning management, subscription/billing management, and merchant solutions.

We are looking for a Strategy Planning and Development Manager to develop long-term strategy for all business and products from thought leadership and ideation through execution. You will work closely with all functional units of Verizon’s YSB, including product, marketing, design, and partnerships to track and influence the growth and scale of YSB in Verizon.

  • Defining Verizon’s YSB business strategy and developing 1-3-5 year forecasts.
  • Developing performance metrics to assess business success; initiating and communicating business wins/product launches and consolidating reporting activities to Verizon HQ.
  • Working with all functional units (product, marketing, partnerships, and design) to enhance business performance and optimize internal operations.
  • Collaborating with senior management on special projects to reach business milestones, optimize operations.

What we’re looking for...

You have the ability to build collaboration, and drive strategic direction by raising visibility of trends, issues, and opportunities across the organization. Your attention to detail makes it easy for you to connect the dots and to ensure key business deliverables are met.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with senior management and stakeholders as a strategic partner on projects.
  • Entrepreneurial experience.

Even better if you have:

  • MBA.
  • Experience of building products for Small & Medium businesses.
  • Track record in working with senior management and stakeholders as a strategic partner on projects, bringing analytical insight, fact-based recommendations, and clarity on problem structuring and solving.
  • Experience in navigating business, technical, operational, and legal complexities to drive large scale product ideation, development, and implementation on schedule.
  • Twelve or more years of work experience, with at least 5 years in management consulting and/or product strategy.
  • Demonstrated excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, ability to interpret data to provide recommendations and develop strategies to vast leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive under challenging scenarios and work independently.
