What you’ll be doing...

The Verizon Corporate Strategy group is responsible for working with business unit leaders, corporate stakeholders and external advisors to generate long-term growth and shareholder value. This group analyzes where value gets created across all of our different businesses (e.g. Wireless, Wireline, Oath, Telematics, etc.) and generates insights to help inform:

  • Strategic assessments for optimizing operational and financial performance
  • New business and growth opportunities, both organic and inorganic
  • Corporate-level resource allocation
  • Emerging business models, such as 5G

The group also analyzes adjacent industries and players for potential investments.

This group’s work feeds directly into key executive and board decisions—and has a high degree of regular visibility into senior executive leaders, including a direct line of communication to the CEO.

You will be a key member of the Strategic Analysis and Planning team within our Corporate Strategy group. You will manage a cross-organizational program to capture, measure, and communicate progress against our corporate strategy using a balanced scorecard. Success in this role is highly dependent on managing a complex network of stakeholders and delivering insights to aid senior leaders in decision making.

  • Providing proactive program management and development.
  • Analyzing data trends and communicating insights both graphically and in writing.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders, from individual contributors to senior executives.
  • Identifying and implementing best practices for goal measurement.
  • Reconciling distinct business unit priorities with overarching strategic goals.
  • Developing cogent presentations to senior management to articulate findings and recommendations.
  • Participating in scenario planning and “war gaming” workshops.
  • Supporting ad hoc priority projects of varied scope.
