What you’ll be doing...

As the Program Manager, you will coordinate the Verizon Smart Communities (VSC) team and other business units across all functions, and interface frequently with the product team on product readiness, ensuring that governance and structure around VSC deployment is aligned with activities and timelines agreed to in City/Government contracts. You will work very closely with solution architecture, professional services, finance, leadership, legal, customer engagement, and the VSC sales team to identify and surface to leadership any issues that could impact deployment, as well as track against our program timeline for delivery to meet customer obligations.

  • Handling product PMO coordination, driving VSC product deployments, with executive communication and working team agendas.
  • Creating decks to track and convey status and project reporting across the greater VSC and organization.
  • Partnering with sales enablement, product management, and product marketing functions to identify key reports.
  • Coordinating and reporting on overall deployment status, with a level of urgency to identify and mitigate risks as needed.
  • Assisting/managing special projects across the organization as needed.
  • Developing and executing reporting against deployment timelines and dependencies.
  • Building dashboards, deployment packets, and deployment milestones and checklists suitable for working team updates and executive review.
  • Working cross functionally with all business units to facilitate a “one voice” / “one goal” approach to deployment and customer satisfaction.
  • Continually reviewing current business processes and existing applications solutions supporting them and identifying improvements for the short and long term strategic direction.
  • Participating in management meetings and discussions, and providing meaningful input into the generation and modification of policies and procedures.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • PMP or PgMP certification.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Information Systems or technical background or Executive Account Management Background.
  • Project management/supervisor/management experience leading a large group with diverse experience and knowledge.
  • Ability to present to external stakeholders as well as executive level internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in government facing program management.
  • Experience in Smart Community Technology deployment.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, with core ability to operationalize and address strategic imperatives through tactical execution.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills to address all levels of the enterprise to include client senior executives.
