What you’ll be doing...

You will help drive Digital Finance as we expand the number of models utilized across revenue assurance. Through partnering with the modelers you’ll be ensuring clean datasets are provided while maintaining data integrity. Utilizing your expert analytical knowledge, you will develop research methodologies generated from both cyclical and daily trending models. And you’ll use your love of data to help Verizon and our customers make more informed business decisions.

  • Providing advanced analytics support for national billing errors.
  • Quantifying open defects in order to prioritize open trouble tickets.
  • Driving a deep understanding and knowledge of the Consumer Mass Business billing structures.

As the Consultant on the Network Revenue Assurance team, you will be responsible for analysis, insights, observations and decision support for our business leaders in Finance, Marketing, & Network. As a data analyst at Verizon, the consultant will perform complex data extraction and analysis, develop clear visualizations, and apply data models to deliver results-oriented insights to improve revenue, profitability and customer experience.

You will also be responsible to lead and manage enterprise level projects, identify risks, develop strategic relationships and design system controls. Successful candidates will have a strong background in project management and/or systems auditing. Continually broaden and strengthen team’s knowledge of technology, tools and databases. Stay current with system enhancements by meeting regularly with key stakeholders in IT, Network and Marketing to ensure that controls and processes are adequate

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Analysis, Operations Research, Financial,Economics/Econometrics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Relevant certifications include: SAS, Teradata, Oracle, and PMP.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in billing and accounting practices.
  • Advanced Tableau knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of both Oracle and Teradata, ideally holding a certification in at least one.
  • Experience with cellular billing systems.
  • Leadership experience with a heightened sense of diplomacy to accomplish significant projects and tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand stored data and create SQL statements to extract information.
  • Strong desire to ensure accurate recording of company revenues.
  • Experience managing multiple project deadline requirements.
  • Ability to stay current with system enhancements by meeting regularly with key stakeholders in IT, Network and Marketing to ensure that controls and processes are adequate.
  • Experience with multiple systems including: R, Python, expert-level SQL (Teradata and/or Oracle) with Hadoop experience, and ETL.
