What you’ll be doing...

As the Transition and Transformation Director, you will manage and oversee all Verizon transition activities for a major customer outsourcing program. You will be responsible for overseeing all O&T/Delivery team commitments and resources worldwide to ensure profitability for VZ is achieved, customer satisfaction is met, and global corporate policies are adhered to. Accountable for the successful execution of the overall program transition activities and responsible for accomplishing specific program objectives including:

  • Oversee all VZB Program activities worldwide and across all Delivery organizations in terms of tactical decisions, day-to-day management, planning, senior escalations and reporting.
  • Assist all Tower owners and functional managers with input, context, prioritization and execution of Program activities in all operating region.
  • Oversee all TPV support globally, requirements, costs, deliverables and contract performance related to the Program.
  • Be a senior, POC to the Customer for all Program delivery matters.
  • Regular and proactive customer communications to ensure all customer concerns are addressed readily.
  • Assist Sales Management with all senior level escalations, regular performance reviews, reporting and relationship management Transition and Transformation (T&T) and Operational Management.
  • Oversee all transition and transformation planning, execution, reporting and related escalation management for LAN, WAN, and Firewall complexes, IT infrastructure management (hosting, applications support, other) as anticipated in the customer contract.
  • Participate in the development and sign-off of all transition and transformation plans.
  • All project requirements are routed to appropriate functional groups and monitored to completion.
  • Assist Operations with input, planning, prioritization and execution and management of Operational activities in the Region Program and P&L Management.
  • Define and manage program activities to meet VZ goals for financial performance.
  • Develop and manage deliverables to plan.
  • All processes are documented and efficiently working for the Program as applicable.
  • Participate and oversee that all relevant governance meetings are held within contract framework.
  • Maintain and publish status for all projects in progress.
  • All reports are developed and distributed as required by the contract.
  • Ensure and oversee that Customer billing is properly created and sent in a timely manner as applicable.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering, Computer Sciences; or other related area or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • ITIL Foundations v3, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • ITIL Advanced/Intermediate Certification.
  • Experience with Telecommunication/IT Outsourcing.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Demonstrated experience with verbal & written communications.
  • Ability to foster relationships and present to C-Levels within the Client Organization.
  • Enterprise Client Experience.
  • Financial Business acumen.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office product suite, including PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
  • Twelve or more years of proven project management experience with proven track record and experience with deploying and delivering complex solutions.
  • Familiarity with Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and network elements.
  • Experience in Service Management related to Network, Managed Services, CPE, Security, Applications, Hosted / DCS Services, IT Services, Unified Communications.
  • Proven leadership skills and capabilities.
  • Ability to manage and negotiate with required internal and external organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
  • International experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with Clarity.
  • Proficiency in customer enablement tools.
  • Technical skills certification:
    • Cisco Sales Expert (CSE).
    • Cisco Security Implementation Specialist (CSIS).
    • Cisco Certified Network Admin (CCNA).
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
    • Master’s Certificate in Project Management (ESI).
