  • Supporting the Supervisor with invoice load and database analysis for Invoice Validation operations and projects.
  • Coordinating with vendors for receipt, management and testing associated with invoice receipt. Being the primary user liaison with vendors to solve technical communication issues, missing invoices, invoice format issues, etc.
  • Driving resolution of exceptions in back office operations in the business and with VZ IT. Keeping management informed of risks/issues as well as making recommendations for improvements and automations.
  • Supporting all life cycle development phases necessary to create and modify EDI Maps that enable data loading into Invoice Validation systems. This includes complex coding of mapping rules, providing support for all phases of testing and assisting in management and migration of changes to production and associated impacts.
  • Conducting systems analysis/design and development to create complex script sets aimed at solving data issues and addressing business questions. This may equate to migrating data from one data base to another, correcting data problems and/or pulling together data based on complex rules adjoining various data points.
  • Providing test support for releases that include impacts for Verify Load Processing.
  • Providing development support for reporting and automation of key functions supporting daily operations. This includes leveraging numerous technical skills including, SQL, Java, VBA, Access, Linux/Unix Scripting, RPA, Node.js, Powershell, and SFTP scripting.
  • Supporting compliance activities, controls and SOX testing of Invoice Validation systems.
  • Ensuring invoice validation systems daily back office operations of invoice receipt, bill file transmission, invoice load, and payment record generation complete timely and accurately. Billing file formats: CABS, SECABS, EDI 8.11. Bill file transmission methods: NDM, SFTP.
  • Utilizing a combination of 3270 Emulation, Text Editing, Linux command sets, and various scripts, confirming bill file load jobs have run properly and taking action to address issues as they arise. This may include rerunning jobs, re-staging files to reload invoices and modification of various parameters and data to ensure invoices load. All aspects of job duties/actions are captured for reference in support of yearly audits.
  • Supporting yearly CABS and SECABS industry upgrades mandated by the Order Billing Forum (OBF).
  • Utilizing SQL procedures, ensuring payment processing jobs complete timely and accurately. Validating daily payment transmission/feedback to ERP payment systems (SAP). Driving exception resolution with business and VZ IT.
  • Providing test support for releases that include impacts for Verify Load Processing.
  • Providing development support for reporting and automation of key functions supporting daily operations. This includes leveraging numerous technical skills including, SQL, Java, VBA, Access, Linux/Unix Scripting, RPA, Node.js, Powershell, and SFTP scripting.
  • Supporting compliance activities, controls and SOX testing of Invoice Validation systems.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer engineering or related field.
  • Experience with electronic carrier access billing formats of CABS, SECABS, EDI 8.11 as well as the OBF (Order Billing Forum).
  • Experience with EDI bill format mapping and tools coordinating data fixes.
  • Experience transmitting and accounting for electronic files in NDM and using SFTP. Using 3270 emulation and Linux scripting.
  • SQL, Java, VBA, Access, Linux/Unix Scripting, RPA, Node.js, Powershell, and SFTP scripting skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in timely manner to achieve project deadlines.
  • Ability to engage with and influence multiple stakeholders across the business and Finance.
  • Ability to work independently in a challenging environment.
