What you’ll be doing...

You’ll be in a key role, supporting our general accounting functions. Utilizing your drive and motivation, you will expand your experience and develop subject matter expertise in a variety of topics. You will be given responsibilities for key components of the financial statement close process, which will provide a forum to develop your skills as part of a dynamic and challenging Finance organization.

  • Preparing accounting related reports.
  • Assisting with monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities.
  • Preparing and analyzing journal entries; proposing adjustments as necessary.
  • Preparing account reconciliations, actively investigating reconciling items and proposing resolution.
  • Verifying records are processed, reviewing posting issues and resolving errors.
  • Comparing system outputs with daily input verifying for accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assisting in the analysis and interpretation of accounting records for use by management, as required.
  • Leading the company’s efforts to comply with the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley while ensuring compliance and adherence with controls for internal policies and external regulations.
  • Maintaining records of routine accounting transactions

What we’re looking for...

You have a solid conceptual accounting knowledge base, and experience in applying these concepts to operational scenarios. You have a desire to develop your skills and grow your career, while helping to enhance a positive work environment.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of FASB requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification (or are in the process of getting certified).
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems and applications such as SAP, PeopleSoft, CPM/Essbase, Hyperion Financial Management, Blackline or related systems and applications.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong written and verbal communications skills.
