What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for managing and implementing the overall project requirement; organizing, directing, coordinating plans, and implementing all project support activities; interacting with program officials regarding issues and status of the project; coordinating financial and staffing resources; monitoring and analyzing performance data and reports results to client; preparing operations and management reports; creating, revising, and updating programs standard operating procedures; keeping appropriate individuals up-to-date on new, existing, and possible emerging program issues or concerns; interfacing with client stakeholders to assure communications are comprehensive, understandable and meet or exceed expectations.

  • Responsible for the delivery of services for enterprise client within contractual commitments.
  • Development, maintenance and execution of project delivery plans and managing partners to project timelines.
  • Be a single point of contact to customer for status and reporting on post implementation service requests and orders
  • Ensure customers receive world-class care and execution for the delivery and management of services.
  • Optimize business outcomes, including managed solutions operations for communications, network, IT and security, and outsourced solutions.
  • Ensure client solutions are supportable within Company’s framework of services and SLA agreements.
  • Review of RFP/RFI or other contract related documents and participation in the solution development.
  • Demonstrate clear and consistent ownership and accountability for the delivery of projects as represented in the Statement of Work, including, but not limited to:
  • Requirements development and scope management.
  • Project schedule development, management and tracking.
  • Resource management and time tracking.
  • Project financial management and tracking.
  • Project risk management.
  • Project issue management.
  • Project communication / reporting management.
  • Implement service/process improvement plans to follow a continuous improvement methodology.
  • Develop project plans and matrix manage all internal and external client partners.
  • Ensure resources are organized and managed efficiently to deliver services to the client.
  • Ensure all contracted deliverables are complete.
  • Prepare and deliver service reviews with client.
  • Oversight over new and ongoing projects and provide project communication to the client.
  • Manage orders from inception to delivery and ensure timely status provided to client.
  • Perform risk mitigation to ensure minimal impact to service delivery and milestone execution.
  • Ensure contract documents accurately reflect Verizon capabilities.
  • Assessment of service delivery and steady state resource level and cost estimation for business case modeling.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Seven or more years of project management and delivery experience for managed IT and telecom solutions for enterprise size projects.
  • Experience managing multiple projects including scope of services, deliverables, budgets and schedules.
  • Strong understanding of at least 2 technologies listed below and a general knowledge of the remaining:
    • Unified Communications
    • IT Services
    • Data Networks
    • Voice Technologies
    • Cloud / Data Center
    • Security
  • Experience cultivating and managing vendor/business partner relationships.
  • Experience managing teams of engineering resources as well as directing and managing their work effort.
  • Strong understanding of delivery/project management processes and principles.
  • Proven track record of supporting pre/post sales teams with responsibilities for complex solutions and services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of management.
  • Capability to host and facilitate meetings attended by client executives, stakeholders and Verizon executives.
  • Advanced skills with MS Office to include Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or in the process of getting certified).
  • ITIL Foundation certification (or in the process of getting certified).
