What you’ll be doing...

You'll be managing Engineering and Operations related to Verizon Wireline Numbering, adhering to FCC Number Resource Optimization Guidelines and best practices.

  • Providing technical and/or analytical support to solve a wide range of complex issues requiring numbering support.
  • Utilizing various operating systems (internal and external) in support of numbering inventory and processes for order flow and routing.
  • Resolving internal trouble tickets to expedite ordering anomalies related to order flow.
  • Providing internal and industry support for NPA relief activities.
  • Evaluating critical market reports to support proactive inventory control.
  • Providing System Administration support to various operating systems related to numbering algorithms.
  • Ensuring compliance items and reporting are complete and accurate.
  • Supporting Network Transformation through understanding the current switching network architecture.
  • Interfacing with Verizon Federal and Regulatory as well as individual State Commissions on numbering issues and resolutions.
  • Updating, researching, and resolving discrepancies in industry reference databases for routing/rating.

This position can be located in any valid Verizon location.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in engineering, mathematics, or related field.
  • Familiarity with principles, theories, concepts, and an applied knowledge of established numbering procedures, policies and practices.
  • Experience with Industry Numbering activities.
  • Knowledge of internal operating support systems such as NTAS, NFAPS, NRM/CAMEO, NSOP, iPRO, TNRV, LTTS, SWITCH OS, VCAS, TCOMS.
  • Knowledge of external systems such as BIRRDS/LERG, NECA, NPAC, PAS/NAS, SharePoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
