The Yahoo Small Business (YSB) group at Verizon creates digital solutions that enable small and medium businesses to build, manage, and grow online. Our services include website building, domain management, website hosting, local listing management, e-commerce platform, and business mail.

Verizon’s YSB also manages a complementary suite of apps covering actionable live web insights, application/developer platform, real time traffic tracking and analytics, recommendations, provisioning management, subscription/billing management, and merchant solutions.

We are looking for a customer-focused & data-driven Marketing Professional whose mission is to build a community of brand advocates amongst our customers at Verizon’s Yahoo Small Business.

  • Understand customer needs and use data to create engaging activities that would drive a customer to become a brand advocate.
  • Automate customer marketing and drive customer retention with marketing campaigns across emails, webinars and in-product.
  • Drive engaging marketing campaigns across events, social media and other channels.
  • Leverage the strong customer community and increase loyalty by creating scalable programs for customer referrals, webinars, testimonials, customer videos, case studies.
  • Delight and engage customers by building stronger relationships with customers marketing campaigns that promote our customers.
  • Grow the revenue per customer with cross-sell and upsell opportunities, the use of metrics and constant testing of different programs.
  • Continual research, evaluation and testing of new lead generation channels and technologies to learn and improve targeting and customer acquisition.
  • Use analytics, audience segmentation, research, and competitive insights to identify opportunities that will contribute to growth and engagement with customers. Track and report on key metrics.
  • Conduct ongoing tests, A/B optimization and experiments to gauge content effectiveness, using results to make recommendations, and revise campaigns.
  • Provide product feedback given by customers to the Product Management team.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more year of relevant experience with an emphasis on communications, marketing, and business.
  • Strong passion for serving and understanding customers.
  • Analytical skills to determine marketing effectiveness and ROI of customer engagement efforts.
  • Demonstrated content writing, creative and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to help nurture customer relationships and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to be a strategic thinker that can see beyond the day-to-day to help reach marketing and sales goals, create a stronger brand, and improve the customer experience.
  • Technical knowledge of the latest digital marketing tools and channels, including Customer Relationship Management platforms (Salesforce) and marketing automation platforms (Act-on, Marketo, Hubspot).
  • Familiarity with B2B marketing, lead generation, and sales processes.
  • Experience directing the creation of infographics and interactives, and curating pre-existing media (photos, videos) to enhance the text.
  • Experience with social media platforms.
  • Project management skills and ability to handle the multiple priorities.
  • Previous customer service, customer success, or account management experience.
  • Capability to write effective copy; graphic design capabilities are a plus.
  • Capability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, strong cross-functional teamwork abilities in a fast paced, high growth environment.
