What you’ll be doing...

As our Satellite Solutions Pre Sales Service Delivery Project Manager, you will provide leadership and technical expertise for developing and administering satellite network designs for Sales and account teams throughout Verizon. These designs are typically non-standard and custom in nature and a strong emphasis on international and government satellite network designs is required. You will also support all satellite-related capacity management activities including contracting and administering satellite leases, vendor non-disclosure agreements and other 3rd party vendor contracts and agreements. The responsibilities include driving business results by project managing new customer network design proposals and RFP responses, gathering costs from various entities within and external to Verizon and leading and developing customer inquiries regarding satellite network designs for diverse customers across the globe.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in engineering or similar technical field.
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP).
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Ten or more years of experience and background in satellite network design and other telecommunications technologies especially with a WAN understanding.
  • Work history over the last three or more years in a solution development role.
  • Excellent understanding of satellite related platforms and technologies.
  • ITIL Foundations certification plus two or more ITIL Intermediate certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: capability to interact effectively with all levels of employees across the business, as well as the ability to influence and negotiate with individuals.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Cabaility to present clearly and to communicate to both supervisors and subordinates.
  • Ability to operate effectively under the challenge of deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes in business requirements and technology.
  • Ability to effectively operate the pre-sales project process including advanced knowledge of SalesForce.com.
