What you’ll be doing...

Technical Service Manager

As a Service Manager you will:

  • Build relationships with key customer stakeholders; on-site at the customer office.
  • Represent Verizon in planned and ad hoc customer meetings and calls.
  • Anticipate customer process and reporting needs and help negotiate and meet those needs.

As technical specialist you will:

  • Own bespoke problem, capacity and performance management for a large German client.
  • Be a process owner, governance owner and process practitioner; attend weekly calls with the customer's problem manager; ability to travel to F2F meetings.
  • Become the technical expert and be ready to support Verizon service managers for ad hoc tasks.
  • Collate and provide all contractual reports detailing service performance and SLAs (support ticket review).
  • Provide network optimization reviews against agreed redundancy requirements.
  • Provide answers through review of configuration, systems, log and documentation.
  • Explain document or present technical topics tailored to the receiving party.
  • Support through ad hoc or scheduled reports.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Passion for customer service and experience in customer facing roles.
  • Sound understanding of ITIL service management processes.
  • A general interest in information technology and strong puzzle solving skills.
  • Ability to rally support and create alliances in matrix organizations.
  • TCP/IP network troubleshooting skills to support problem management.
  • Experience in network performance monitoring and reporting (SevOne a plus).
  • Advanced Excel skills; interest to optimize or automate repeatable workflows.
