What you’ll be doing...

The Verizon Experience Team is a new internal group tasked with evolving the Verizon customer experience across all channels and touchpoints, through the design and implementation of innovative products and services that customers love.

Working from a newly designed studio space, the team is assembling the brightest designers, design strategists, researchers, and product managers to collaborate within teams shaping the most important touch point across the customer journey.

You will provide general administrative support to 1 VP, as well as backup director support as needed.

  • Communicating with employees at all levels of the organization to gather or convey information.
  • Screening phone calls, managing email, greeting visitors, and resolving routine and some complex inquiries.
  • Maintaining electronic calendars, scheduling meetings, activities, and travel itineraries, re-scheduling as needed.
  • Following up with meeting minutes, notes, and action items.
  • Working with the travel coordinator to schedule flights, ground transportation, and accommodations.
  • Reconciling and maintaining all expense reports in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Preparing correspondence, memoranda, reports, agendas, etc.
  • Providing administrative support for day-to-day activities and long-term projects in the department.
  • Developing and maintaining electronic data and record keeping systems, while using available technology maximizing hardware and software capabilities to facilitate workflow.
  • Coordinating conference calls, video conferences, and other telecommunication requests.
  • Maintaining communication with external parties to handle questions, resolve issues, and provide information.
  • Preparing responses to mailfor review and gain signatures of appropriate personnel.
  • Devising and submitting documents/memos for review and signature, making copies, and handling mail or distribution.
  • Maintaining existing electronic and hardcopy filing/record keeping systems, keeping them current, accurate and accessible to those who may need stored information.
  • Handling sensitive information with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and/or weekends, if needed.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience providing operations support.
  • Strong executive administrative assistance or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and decision making skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, while successfully managing multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Data analysis experience and proficiency with databases and MS Excel.
  • Ability to perform filtering and sorting of data, and experience with Pivot tables, V-Lookup, and other functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High motivation and a self-starter mindset with a strong sense of ownership and involvement.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and provide accurate follow up on all issues and correspondence.
  • Thorough organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior level management and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
