What you’ll be doing...

You will cultivate a robust cutting edge strategy that propels leaders to have deeper understanding, knowledge, and skills to develop the competencies needed to accelerate our progress around diversity and inclusion efforts across the globe. As the subject matter expert in learning and development, talent management and diversity and inclusion, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to conceptualize and manage strategic initiatives. You will reenergize the organization’s commitment to diversity and inclusion to help develop a diverse workforce.

  • Leading the design, development and implementation of leadership development programs and leadership models around inclusion for our global diverse emerging leader employee population to ensure we are building a strong pipeline of a diverse mix of talent at the Manager, Senior Manager and Director levels.
  • Conducting benchmarking and research to identify best-in-class approaches to leadership development especially as it relates to women's leadership developmentand identify potential new programs and vendor partners.
  • Conducting needs assessment of talent and validate with evidence opportunities and gaps of current programs.
  • Build out enterprise development programs, with a focus onwomen in the consumer and business organizations, to build a talent pipeline.
  • Ensuring team incorporates all aspects of new program implementation and maintenance including communication programs, train-the-trainer sessions and course set up on VZLU.
  • Ensuring team leverages the capabilities of Verizon’s new executive training center, The Ridge, to ensure world-class learner experiences in the context of capability development, collaboration and networking.
  • Overseeing design of training measurement plans, ensuring completion of thorough course evaluation.
  • Ensuring team is identifying best-in-class external partners for training content and delivery; developing quality statements of work.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with curriculum design and course development of management/leadership development programs.
  • Experience with evaluating training or development programs
  • Experience with designing and managing on-site program logistics and strategies.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in human resources, industrial/organizational psychology, or an MBA.
  • Talent management or human resources experience or D&I certification.
  • Experience with women’s leadership development.
  • Experience with designing or coordinating e-learning and virtual training.
  • Experience with the Intercultural Development Inventory.
  • Experience with vendor selection and management.
  • Project management skills working with cross-functional teams, SMEs, and stakeholders to create learning opportunities.
