Creating technologies to solve the world's biggest challenges is no small task. Join our Corporate Information Security Team focused on security education and awareness. If you think creatively and converse as easily with engineers as with artists, then this just may be perfect for you.

You will coordinate security awareness activities and initiatives designed to influence positive security behavior with our employees and contractors. You will play a significant role in helping us reduce risk to our organization by ensuring all individuals with access to Verizon information resources understand and follow our security requirements.

  • Write communications for our employees, technologists, contractors and partners to inform, alert, and educate based on the communications strategy and requests from the Information Security team.
  • Ensure that our security awareness program communicates our security policies and requirements so that people know, understand, and can follow them.
  • Leverage innovative opportunities to expand employee knowledge through training, campaigns, videos, education fairs and events.
  • Active participation in contributing to the accomplishment of strategic initiatives in accordance to the E&A roadmap.
  • Form complex 'communications / messages' in a simple, clear and concise manner to the various communities within our organization.
  • Project management experience and the ability to plan, manage, maintain and sustain a complex, organization wide program long-term.
  • Monitor cyber security industry news, threats and trends for internal educational opportunities.
  • Deliver and report key metrics to provide stakeholders situational awareness regarding the impact of the awareness program.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in computer, marketing or communications related field.
  • Certifications: PMP, CISM.
  • One or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience creating content for articles, blogs, presentations and other materials.
  • Experience writing and designing information security educational material for employees.
  • Ability to refine complex and difficult concepts into easy-to-understand communications.
  • Experience with the process of eLearning design.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Comfort communicating and writing content at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of running phishing campaigns with some experience using vendor phishing application.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office / G-Suite tools.
  • PC Skills.
