What you’ll be doing...

You’ll join the team responsible for supporting the nation’s largest, most reliable network. As a Network Operations Engineer, you’ll respond to customer troubles, ensuring that they are resolved quickly and efficiently. You’ll also take proactive steps to improve our processes, coach team members, and help our customers understand the benefits of our many automation tools. Your role will be critical to ensure we’re able to exceed customer expectations and keep improving every day.

  • Handling customer issues based on assigned tickets.
  • Enlisting other repair organizations or escalating, when necessary, to resolve problems.
  • Documenting and tracking issues, and keeping customers updated regarding the status of their issues.
  • Managing the ticket bucket and call queues.
  • Monitoring quality through evaluation of tickets and calls.

You’ll join the team responsible for supporting the nation’s largest, most reliable network. As an EMS Change Control Engineer, you’ll join the team responsible for carrying out standard change requests for our entire managed customer base and for our entire managed services products portfolio. You will be responsible for the handling and management of the change request queue and for the timely implementation of all Standard Change Requests with the constant aim of achieving best in class service levels in terms of quality of delivery, communication and overall customer support and customer satisfaction.

You’ll also take proactive steps to improve our processes, coach team members, and help our customers understand the benefits of our many automation tools. Your role will be critical to ensure we’re able to exceed customer expectations and keep improving every day.

  • Handling all aspects of customer Change Requests including customer communication, scheduling, follow up, implementation and closure of all assigned requests.
  • Enlisting other repair organizations or escalating, when necessary, to resolve problems.
  • Documenting and tracking requests, and keeping customers updated regarding the status of their requests.
  • Managing the requests, mailbox and call queues.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience performing WAN or LAN administration on 200 or more network devices.
  • Industry certifications in CCNA, CCNP, or ITIL.
  • Experience in a client-facing role.

You enjoy the process of reviewing, analyzing and understanding customer network change requests and translating them into working network equipment configurations. You like working as part of a small dynamic team of technical experts but you are also capable of working on your own assignments with very high focus and attention to details. You are very customer focused, well organized and you have superior written and verbal communication skills.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Certified Cisco Network Associate certification

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience performing WAN or LAN administration on 200 or more network devices.
  • Industry certifications CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP, or ITIL v3.

Experience in a client-facing role.
