The Quality Control Representative is responsible for validating the pre-shipment of hardware, the proper operation of Verizon Connect devices post installation and reporting their finding and creating action plans for Non Reporting Units. The QCR is responsible for working closely with Installation Coordinators, ensuring operability of units installed and ensuring established policies and procedures are being followed by the contracted installers. This role will also be responsible for being a local hardware expert and being able to validate the HW scoped for a project is valid in relation to the vehicles owned by the customer.


  • Proactively seeks solutions to customer needs and explores creative alternatives
  • Communicates with internal teams professionally and urgently
  • Proactively look to find efficiency gains and implement automation where available
  • Stay up to date on any process or product changes
  • Subject Matter Expert in hardware and software solutions, specifically on the Fleet product but expected to be knowledgeable in all product lines

Post Sale, Pre-Shipment Responsibilities:

  • Validation of HW before it goes to the warehouse for shipping
  • Validate that the HW solution being proposed aligned with the SW features the customer has on contract
  • Monitor inventory levels in partnership with the warehouse
  • Propose Alternate HW or shipping solutions when necessary
  • Work with internal Installation Coordinators to maintain schedules and deliverables to customers in relation to units being shipped and installed on time
  • Communicates installation quality and ensures installers adhere to these installation procedures and processes, including paperwork and hardware handling
  • Validate the hardware scoped for the customer’s order is accurate with regard to software and vehicle requirements

Post install Responsibilities:

  • Validate units installed are reporting correctly using supporting tools and research
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with non-reporting units (NRU)

What we’re looking for...


  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a professional environment in a technical capacity
  • Ability to handle large data sets and prioritize work appropriately
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Ability to work well in teams and as an individual
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and with internal team members to deliver on assigned projects
  • Current working knowledge of Fleet product and or processes is a plus
  • Current working knowledge of pre-shipment or post install checks is a plus
  • Ability to understand and escalate issues efficiently and appropriately
  • Prioritize effectively within tight schedules and a fast paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and customer service orientation with high integrity and ethics
  • Commitment to professionalism, follow-through and attention to detail
  • Very strong internet and computer skills
  • High technical aptitude for assimilating technical concepts and new technology
  • Ability to work flexible shift, which may include early morning hours, late night hours, or weekend hours
  • Strong problem solving skills; gathers and analyzes information skillfully
